First and foremost, we would like to thank each and every one of you from the bottom of our biceps for your continued support during this uniquely challenging time; our community is what makes us “True North Strong” and has been a guiding light as we navigate through our new reality for the foreseeable future.
We have always believed, and we still believe in the power of fitness to improve lives. We feel a responsibility, now more than ever, to live up to our mission statement: “To create a community that offers the support, encouragement, and accountability that are a key to finding the intrinsic joy that a successful physical journey can provide.” This is why we are pumped to be releasing our online training community to you today!

Happy to! You see, we’re aware that the impact of this goes far beyond our little company, but we so firmly believe in the importance of maintaining your health and fitness in these trying times that we came up with our “Stay Safe, Stay Happy, Stay Home” program.
What is the “Stay Safe, Stay Happy, Stay Home” Program and what equipment do I need to participate?
Everyone who signs up for this will be following our TNSF 360o Fitness training program. This program was designed for people who have built up a solid foundation both in terms of their understanding and their physical fitness. Rather than focusing more on one or two components or specific performance markers, it is intended to offer a complete and well-rounded fitness profile.
Equipment requirements are minimal; you will need dumbbells and/or kettlebells, a bench, Theraband (optional), skipping rope (optional) and a good attitude (not optional).
But what if I’m not sure how to do an exercise, or how to modify it?
This is the exciting part. You see, in the spirit of the community we are both going to be doing the program along with you – you just need to sign in to the group meeting for the start of the hour, and we’ll be streaming the workout live. We’ll go through the exercises set by set (less explanation as the weeks go on), and in that time offer both coaching cues as well as some possible modifications – plus, you get to watch us suffer the consequences of our programming right along with you!
Online group meeting? Like Skype or Facetime?
Close – but better. We’re going with Zoom, baby! We will be sending out a link to everyone who signs up inviting you to join us virtually, then you click the link at the designated time and voila!
What if I can’t make an online session?
No problem – we’ll be recording them, and they’ll be available for the next 48-hours to everyone in the program.
Oh, that’s swell! When will these online sessions happen?
This first week (March 23-29) will be Wednesday the 25th, Friday the 27th and Saturday the 28th. After this week, they will be happening on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays – and all of them are at 9 am (including the ones this week).
This all sounds so awesome – but here’s the big question: How much?
Well, here’s the thing. As we said, we see this as our way of contributing to keeping as many people as possible strong and healthy through an exceedingly difficult time, and we don’t want money to be a factor. So the “Stay Safe, Stay Happy, Stay Home” program will be a “pay what you can” – meaning we understand that times are tough for some individuals and families right now and finances look different for everyone. So if you are unable to pay, no sweat, “no body” will go without. The only requirement we have is that you be a True North member – so if you’re not one yet, but want to take part in this program let us know so that we can get you signed up!
Okay – I’m in! What do I need to do?
Simple, if you’re a current member, email us and let us know you’d like to sign-up. If you’re not a member but would like to be, email us and let us know you’d like to sign-up so we can get you the paperwork – either way, we’ll have you up and sweating ASAP.
Of course, for those that can afford it and want the programs customized, then we still have our “Bronze II” online membership, which offers individualized training programs based on your goals and what equipment you have access to. Since this is an individualized program we will be unable to offer virtual workouts (we need days off too), however, you’ll still have access to us through Trainerize for comments, questions, and virtual high-fives. This option is $99 per month (billed on the last day of the month for the next month) and is open to both members and wannabe members.
Whatever option you choose, both will include the following:
- A subscription to the training program through our customized “True North” Trainerize app. This is where you’ll access your training plan, calendar, workouts, video demonstrations of exercises, and message your coach.
- Online access to the True North video library. Here is where you’ll find more in-depth coaching videos breaking down specific movement patterns and/or exercises.
- True North Training Manual. Our comprehensive manual has EVERYTHING you need to know to successfully navigate your online training program in an easy-to-understand format. (Keep it close as you’ll refer back to it often).
- Individual customizations based on your training and health history, including any past injuries.
- Workout accountability through scheduled weekly training sessions.
- Access to our private True North Strength and Fitness Facebook group.
Where My People At?
Our community is what makes us “True North Strong” and we are sympathetic to the impact social distancing, self-quarantine, and self-isolation can have on our members right now which is why we’ve created (drumroll please) our True North Strength and Fitness private Facebook group as a place to stay connected with your favorite fit humans.
We will be posting evidence-based, research-supported fun fitness advice along with a sprinkling of birthday sleds, sweat challenges, virtual high-fives, and anything else we believe will make your biceps better and we only have three entry requirements:
- Positive Attitude
- You actually need to be a True North member.
